Here you have it all boiled down - The best of 2010 from MyDenmarkTV.com. It's not easy to pick our absolute favourite moments from the past year, but a few moments that would have to make the list include the Copenhagen Carnival, Copenhagen Beer Festival, Distortion Festival (in particular managing to film a nearly 10 minute long interview with Distortion Founder Thomas Fleurquin while cycling!) and Kulturnatten ...just to name a few!

There were also some one-off moments like hanging out with Sebastian Overgaard from Street Dining and meeting Lars AP, author of Fucking Flink - his friendliness manifesto to Denmark. Our episode featuring Istedgade proved to be a hugely popular episode - which is gratifying since it is one of my favourite streets in Copenhagen.

So here's a bit of what you will find highlighted in our 'Best of 2010 episode:

It's the street art, graffiti and all the other 'noise', such as cultural spamming, ad jamming and so forth, that really brings a city to life, I've long believed. And Copenhagen has some fantastic murals, spread around the city. Incidently, notice the distinctly Copenhagen style street lights...

As I've mentioned before, I have a soft spot for street art - and this one is a beauty. Covering a Nørrebro bench by Dronning Louises Bro (Queen Louise Bridge), what more needs to be said?

I'm not really in favour of killing baby seals either, but one must wonder what exactly one should do in order to follow the instuctions given on these posters that have been stuck-up randomly around Copenhagen for the last three or four months ('Boycott Canada').

Maybe stop putting maple syrup on your pancakes? Or stop buying albums of the horrendously bad French-Canadian singer who once represented Switzerland in the Eurovision song contest? I'm running out of ideas now...

I'm not really sure who is responsible for them, but I'm sure these posters are making a big difference. Really.

Ah, I've got it! I don't know why I didn't think of it before. As I really am against the killing of baby seals, from this day forward, I vow never again to succumb to tempation and order another succulent McSealpup Sandwich, or similarly named menu item, from any well-known and less-known fast-food chain anywhere in the world (especially in Canada). I think I can manage that. And I guess the sealskin boots will also have to go...
